Title: Product Support Representative
Location: Gorham/Portland, ME
Job Desc/Summary: The Product Support Representative (PSR) will provide product support services to selected accounts and customers within a specific territory. The PSR will ensure maximum customer satisfaction and grow service and parts revenues and gross profits with those designated accounts while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. They will work with Anderson Equipment's sales force to maximize the probability of equipment sales, be involved in evaluating customers' product support needs, create solutions for each account in order to sell the our products and services.
The PSR will fulfill customers' service and parts requirements, including arranging service work and ensuring parts orders are delivered in a timely manner. In addition, the PSR will be responsible for keeping our most important customers satisfied and work with them throughout the life of each piece of equipment to ensure an excellent ownership experience. They will also ensure that customers are following recommended preventative maintenance and all follow-up inspections are performed by Anderson's Service Department. They will perform routine inspections of equipment after the warranty period and provide product support recommendations to the customer, along with recommend programs to decrease cost of ownership.
The PSR will plan routine sales calls, make sales presentations, and point out the benefits of Anderson's product support capabilities while emphasizing the long-term benefits of comprehensive product support programs. They will also provide estimates, act as the quality control agent for the company, inform customers when product support costs are likely to make the cost of ownership prohibitive, and work with the appropriate salesperson to identify optimal replacements. The PSR will develop new product support business by conducting equipment surveys in the assigned territory, study product population, locate new prospects, and determine customers' needs.
Required Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required; vocational training or equipment manufacturing training a plus; Fundamental understanding of finance. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills. Excellent troubleshooting skills; Strong organizational skills and service mechanic experience preferred
